The New Covenant celebration of Easter is not just about the death of the Messiah – it’s about the reason His blood needed to be shed – creating a whole new dimension.

The Blood

The New Covenant was established through the shed blood, death and resurrection of Christ.

According to the Law, almost all things are cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness, Hebrews 9:22. The sinless blood of the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, Revelation 13:8, cleanses us from all sin, 1 John 1:7.

The New Covenant was established by the blood of sacrifice through Christ’s

• Pierced head – crown of thorns
• Back ripped open
• Pierced hands
• Pierced feet
• Pierced side.

The Promise

The promise of the New Covenant was first spoken of by the prophet Jeremiah 31:33. But there is an interesting parallel:

Satan’s five ‘I wills’ of rebellion:

• I will ascend to heaven
• I will raise my throne above the stars of God
• I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north
• I will ascend above the heights of the clouds
• I will make myself like the Most High, Isaiah 14:12-14.

But there are five ‘I will’ of God:

• I will put My law in their minds
• I will write it on their hearts
• I will be their God and they shall be my people
• I will forgive their iniquity
• Their sin I will remember no more.

The New Covenant

God said I will not just give you the Mosaic law to follow, which you are unable to keep — I will give you a new heart to live from.

It is the shift from:

• Rules → Relationship → Transformation
• External obedience → Internal transformation → Authority
• Separation → Union with God → Identity.

Under the New Covenant, we are not pursuing God from a distance — we are living in union with Him, for He is now indwelling, John 14:23.

What Makes It ‘New’?

The Old Covenant was based on:

• Law – written on stone
• Human inability to obey
• Repeated animal sacrifices.

The New Covenant is:

• Law written on the fleshy tablets of the heart
• Empowered by the Spirit of God
• A once-for-all sacrifice, Hebrews 10:12.

Key Features of the New Covenant

• Complete forgiveness of sins
• A new heart and spirit – change from within
• Direct relationship with God – know Him personally
• Indwelling Holy Spirit – lives in you, not just with you
• Identity transformation – you become aligned with Christ in nature and purpose.

You are given the opportunity to mature into the measure of the stature that belongs to the fullness of Christ, Ephesians 4:13.

• The Old Covenant says – Live right, and you will be accepted
• The New Covenant says – You are accepted in Christ through grace — now live from that reality.

Why it Matters for You

The New Covenant means:

• You don’t have to strive to earn God’s approval
• You can live from a place of rest, identity and connection
• Transformation becomes natural fruit, of the Spirit, not forced effort – or works.

The New Covenant is not just a theological concept – it is the operating reality of a believer’s life.

• You are not trying to reach God – you are living from union in and with Him
• The veil is no longer something to approach. It was torn apart by God at Calvary, Matthew 27:51.
• Christ is our Veil – giving full access to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 Your journey is not about getting there – it is about awakening to where you already are.

By grace you have been saved and raised up with Him and seated with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:6. Both in Him and with Him.

Breaking Hidden Control

New Covenant Lens: Internal Government

Life takes on a whole new dimension in the New Covenant.

If anyone is in Christ he is a new creature. The old things passed away, behold new things have come, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Under the Old Covenant – behavior was managed externally.
Under the New Covenant – transformation flows from internally.

You are governed by the Spirit within – no longer governed by your body and soul.

Where the Seen Meets the Unseen

New Covenant Lens: Understanding the Unseen Realm

Jesus Christ didn’t just reveal the unseen — He brought you to the place where you partake of all that eternity is ‘Now’.

This shifts the emphasis:

You don’t visit the spiritual realm — you live from it, under the shadow of the Almighty, Psalm 91:1.

Redeeming Time

New Covenant Lens: Living in the Eternal Now – the Generous Present Moment.

The New Covenant restores you to God’s reality:

• Not bound by time
• Rooted in God who is, was and is to come, Revelation 1:8 – in the Now.

Time is no longer your master — it becomes a context you move through.

Yesterday with all its joys and regrets is gone. Your unknown future with all its possibilities, is coming toward you.

Walking in Truth and Light

New Covenant Lens: Light Within – Not Just Upon

Jesus Christ is not just the Light you follow — He is the Light within you for He is the Light of the world, John 8:12.

• Truth is no longer external instruction
• Truth is internal revelation.

Truth is a person, John 14:6. You don’t search for truth — you live from it.

Perceiving Who I Am  – Prophet, Priest, King

New Covenant Lens: Identity Established – Not Earned

Under the New Covenant:

• You are not becoming a Priest/King
• You have your identity in what Christ has established.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. A people for God’s own possession, 1 Peter 2:9. You are not your own, you were bought with a price, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20.

Identity is not a goal — it is a revelation to awaken to.

New Covenant Power and Authority

New Covenant Lens: Delegated Authority and Power Through Union

Authority and power are no longer:

• Positional striving
• Self-grandeur, or
• Spiritual effort.

It is:

• Seeking the will of the Father and participating in His eternal plan
• Flowing from union with Christ – heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, Romans 8:17.
• Empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Authority and power are not something you activate — they are bestowed by God and something you operate.

Living Beyond the Veil

New Covenant Lens: The natural Veil Is Gone – Jesus is the Veil

The tearing of the Temple veil when Jesus cried ‘It is Finished’, John 19:30, is very significant:

• The legal demands of the law had been met
• The eternal price was paid
• Jesus made the Way for full access to the presence of God, John 14:6, – for whosoever will believe, John 3:16.

Through Jesus Christ:

• You dwell in the presence of God
• You dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High God, Psalm 91:1
• You dwell in perfect access and union with I Am that I Am, Exodus 3:14.

Living beyond the veil is not an experience to reach for — it is a reality to perceive – a relationship.

The New Covenant establishes what the Old Covenant could not provide:

• Union over separation
• Identity over striving
• Presence over distance
• Transformation over effort.

It is awakening to living from what the New Covenant has already made true.

This Easter celebrate who you are in Christ Jesus and for all the New Covenant means to you.
